Southern Rural Water has released a vision for its region-building Macalister Fresh strategy to drive future investment and further economic, environmental and cultural benefits within Gippsland.

Securing water supply and exploring alternative water sources in our irrigation districts is one of our key strategic priorities. And we’re working on two projects in the Macalister Irrigation Area and the Werribee Irrigation District that will allow us to do this.

Meeting our future water needs is challenging. However, we’re confident by partnering with the right people, embracing technology, and making smart, evidence-based decisions we can deliver long-term sustainable water for all users.
